Receive a Shipment

"Join the Network"

Dear Friend,

Thank you for contacting the Theological Book Network.

The first step in joining or creating a network in your area is to submit the JTN form below, which can be filled out online.* The information provided on this form helps us determine shipment schedules, shipment size (based on the number of total institutions that join the local network), and to some extent the composition of shipments.  The more detail you can provide, the better we can serve you.

Additional instructions on filling out the form are located at the following link: Instructions for filling out the Join the Network Form.

Sincerely,

Kurt Berends
Executive Director

Hosting a shipment:

Each shipment is hosted by an institution or school in the network.  The host institution receives additional books in return for their administrative help.

In order to become a host, the host institution must meet the the following requirements :

  • A clean, dry, secure space to receive and store the shipment before distribution to the network (may be for several weeks or months)
  • Available personnel, equipment and facilities to physically handle the shipment
  • Ability  and willingness to communicate with other schools/institutions which may want to become a part of the network.
  • An individual who is available to take care of the administrative tasks of handling paperwork, working with a customs broker,  contacting  other institutions when books have been received, etc. and providing a follow up report after the shipment has been distributed.
  • Financial resources to cover any costs associated with inland freight, duties, etc.

These costs can be recovered in an equitable manner from the partner institutions at the time of distribution.

If you are want to receive more information about hosting, please indicate your interest below.  We will contact you when a shipment to your area is being planned.  Hosts are chosen by the Theological Book Network.
